March New Studio Art

Check out this month’s eclectic bundle of art. It includes faith-focused symbols, Easter bunnies and spring offerings along with weddings, space motifs and winter sports!

Our first two collections “Journal Graph Cards” and “A Spring Day: Papers,” are in coordinating colors and come from Sahlin Studio of the Lily Pad. These pastel collections work together beautifully for any project on any topic at any time of year.

As spring approaches, fluffy bunnies and faith-focused symbols are often what you search for in our art offerings. This month we’ve added a little of both. “Spring Bunnies” from Digital Crea is a light-hearted spring collection with five adorable bunnies, spring elements and papers all in a riot of fun colors. Perfect for Easter basket or bucket decorations, documenting the egg hunt or the day’s new clothes, you’ll return to this cute collection again and again. And if you want to make spring pages with a more faith-focused perspective, we’ve added “Collection of Crosses” by Shanna Vineyard to give you more choice in meaningful Christian accents. This wide variety of crosses goes from ornate to dainty styling and will be the perfect accent for all your special occasion pages.

March and April are notorious for wet weather in many areas, so one of our March art offerings is the whimsical “When Skies Are Gray” collection from the Sweet Shoppe. With its umbrellas, clouds and rain boots; it’s the perfect collection for rain puddle or weather-related projects or pages.

Joining collections designed for younger family members this month, and also from the Sweet Shoppe, is our “Space Cadet” kit. The perfect collection for out-of-this-world birthday cards, invitations, pages or projects; this cleanly styled offering is sure to please any aspiring astronaut or space-crazy kid.

Wedding season is not far away and so this month we’ve added the absolutely exquisite collection “Champagne Romance” by Becca. With a full shimmery silver alphabet, wonderful word art and gorgeous white and off-white accents, this will be a collection you’ll want to use to celebrate the new couple or to feature historic wedding photos.

A surprising collection also joins our March offering this year, but one that's long overdue. Many of you live in colder climates where winter sports are a big part of everyday life right up through April. We recently discovered we were lacking in art for skis, snowboards and other winter sports gear, but "Fronstbite" will come to the rescue! With snow gear from hats to skis, you’ll now be able to do justice to those fabulous photos of your family outings on the mountains!

Spring Projects

Spring is a time of transformation when all things seem fresh and new again. It’s a natural time to appreciate life; to celebrate hope and to focus on our faith, values and philosophies. It’s also the perfect season to surround loved ones with the Heritage Makers products that celebrate spring and inspire renewed commitment to faith and family.

Celebrating Life
It’s no coincidence that Easter motifs include fluffy chicks, baby bunnies and other symbols of rebirth and renewal. Acknowledged with a little thought and explanation, their presence magnifies other inspirational or faith-focused celebrations of spring.

For the cutest display of spring flowers and fluffy chicks, join Sandra Dovre’s “Happy Easter Décor,” playing cards together with ribbon to make a concertina style table decoration (see bottom of photo below) or tie together to form a banner that reads “Happy Easter.” In the Template Gallery as template 56768, it brings a welcome touch of spring color and a reminder of the promise of the season to your Easter décor. Instructions for assembly are included inside the template.

Filled with Easter grass and goodies, template 54590, “Bright Easter Bucket, by Lynda Angelastro is sure to bring smiles on Easter morning. Personalize the project with your children’s names, then glue labels on the front and lid of two, gallon-size, clear plastic pails for personalized baskets or containers for the Easter Egg Hunt. Use green, gold and white netting or tulle instead of ribbon to decorate the handles of your Easter buckets. Template eggs can be glued anywhere. If you’re in charge of the Easter Egg Hunt, write grand prize information on back of cut-out eggs, place inside plastic ones and hide as part of the hunt.

Use Roxanne Buchholz’ “Lil Easter Chick” card, made from a 7x5 Invitation, template 56188, for an Easter Greeting or as the title photo in a 7 x 5 frame collage. This popular way of decorating combines photos and word or title art. Jill Means also has several 7 x 5 invitations designed to do such dual duty. The one shown above is template 69839, “Framed Holidays – Easter.”

If family and friends are far away, send Easter greetings. Two of our newest are shown here. “HM Easter Basket Thoughts“ by Roxanne Buchholz, template 79442 is an 8 x 4 photo card with a plain white back ready for your handwritten message. “We are Blessed Note Card” is from Sandra Dovre. It’s a 5 x 7 invitation, template 56590, that says “We are blessed” on the front and “We hope you are too” on the inside. For more ways to celebrate spring, check out the Heritage Makers Template Gallery.

Focusing on Faith
Spring is a good time to fill your home with uplifting décor that emphasizes your family’s hopes and values. “Peace,” template 54586, and “Faith,” template 45070, both 20 x 20 canvases by Tanja Rigby are matching statements of faith from the Old Testament that can be coordinated to fit your home’s color scheme.

“1 Timothy 4:12,” template 12723 is a 12 x 12 scrap page design by Penny Hughes. The template makes four 6 x 6 squares which can be mounted on ceramic tiles and displayed in your home or given as gifts. Or, try a self-adhesive laminate vinyl tile. While they typically come only in 12 x 12, the front face can be scored firmly with a craft knife and then bend the tile break it cleanly.

One of our most popular statements of faith is “Serve the Lord 1” by HM Signature Templates. It’s a 20 x 8 canvas, template 51770, and the background paper can be changed easily to fit your décor.

If Passover is the spring holiday you’re celebrating, send a personalized greeting or set your table with custom placemats designed to commemorate the story of the festival and its message of hope, redemption and faith. Cards shown here are “Passover Blessings,” 54577, and “Passover Blessings and Joy,” 54579 both 5 x 7 greeting cards by Tanja Rigby.

Tanja also designed this “Passover Placemat.” It’s a 14 x 11 poster, template 54587. Personalize with every young family member’s name and choose to add UV coating box at checkout for spill protection to make after-meal clean up a cinch.

Love and Inspiration
Some home décor items are just a way to say “I love you.” Others set the tone for a home where love and respect are honored and cherished as these two 8 x 8 canvases show. Send a custom canvas to Grandma to let her know you wish she werecelebrating with you this year. “Some Bunny Loves You’ is by Tanja Rigby and is template 30742. “Inspirational Family Quote Small Color” by Lynda Angelastro is template 41965 and designed to be customized to your family’s décor. Easy instructions for color customization are included inside the template.

Spring is also a time for graduations and graduation gifts. Remind your son or daughter that dreams really can come true by making this ready-in-an-instant canvas from Tanja Rigby.
A wonderful graduation gift, “Dream” is an affirming quote from Walt Disney, suitable for family room, dorm or den. Leave as is or take five minutes and change the colors to match his or her décor. “Dream” is a generous size, 18 x 18 deep canvas and can be found by entering 45179 in the Template Gallery search engine.

Two 16 x 20 canvases that put family and values on the wall are “Season Series—Spring” by Jill Means, template 41482 and “HM Number of Breaths” by Roxanne Buchholz, template 62388.

And, let’s close with a 12 x 12 scrapbook page, also designed to be mounted on tile, whose wisdom inspires no matter what your faith tradition. In neutral tones, “Jewish Proverb” by Lynda Angelastro is template 52730.

February New Studio Art

This month we’re adding twelve new collections, six in Premier, and another six that you can show off to friends and family getting to know Heritage Makers with Basic accounts.

Our first two collections “A Romantic Moment” from our French art provider Digital Crea and “Spa Bubbles, the Papers,” from the Lily Pad, are two totally unrelated collections that have the same feel and color palette. In soft springtime colors with an emphasis on aqua and pink, both collections work beautifully for weddings, Easter or Mother’s Day projects. They are now part of our Premier art.

To add even more to our already abundant Valentine art, here are two smaller love-themed collections. “Love Always” is from Penny Springmann and “You & Me” is from Krystal Hartley both of the Sweet Shoppe. We’ll be calling the second of these two collections “You & Me SS” to distinguish it from a collection of the same name that was released last month. These mix and match Premier collections will add a perfect touch to Valentine, anniversary or family-themed projects.

Some time ago we added “12 Months Mega Kit Papers” to our art. In classic patterns and neutral shades, the papers made great storybook backgrounds. This month we’re releasing “12 Months Mega Kit Elements,” the matching element collection. A huge collection, this Premier offering is full of flowers, frames, journaling blocks, ribbons and word art that together with the matching papers provide everything you need for a larger coordinated project.

We’re also adding a wonderful collection from French digital scrapbooking site Digital Crea called “Douce Elegance” (gentle elegance). In classic shades of black and gray accented with green and red and full of swirls and flourishes, this will be the perfect Premier collection for projects celebrating love, family, personal growth and more.

We’re bringing a little spring flavor to our Basic art this month by adding these two coordinated collections from the Sweet Shoppe. “Garden Blooms” and “Splice" will add to the flowers and frames offered to HM members using just Basic. Designed to work together, these two mini collections are made from the same color palette and can be mixed and matched. Perfect for Easter or other spring or summer scrapbooking, they’ll be a great addition to our Basic offering.

A set of light colored alphas makes its debut in our Basic art this month. In very light colored paper with soft blue and peachy outlines, these are the perfect letters for everything from baby to heritage projects. In addition, the three full alphabets are accompanied by a set of upper case letters embellished with three small buttons. Use for the initial cap on a wide range of projects from baby to Father’s Day topics. Our “Vintage Worn & Torn Papers” will also be a great addition to our Basic offering. With a distinctive paper tear on one side of each of its seven traditional style papers, Basic users will now be able to give their projects that antique or grunge look.

To finish out our six new Basic offerings, we are releasing two Lily Pad paper collections called “Barely There Vol 12” and “Barely There Vol 13.” Each six-paper set is a layer-upon-layer mini work of art that brings some newly added deep dimensions to the papers for Basic users.

Chosen Especially for You
Remember, Club HM/Premier users enjoy unlimited access to ALL our artwork -- both Premier and Basic collections, with more added every month.
